Twin elbow malleable iron galvanised

Twin elbow malleable iron galvanised

Material: Malleable iron

  Datasheet (PDF)

Georg Fischer twin elbow 132 malleable iron galvanised fittings are engineered for dividing or converging fluid flows symmetrically in commercial, utility, and heavy industrial piping systems. Manufactured from high-grade decarburised annealed whiteheart malleable cast iron EN-GJMW-400-5 complying with EN 1562 and Design Symbol A of EN 10242, the component delivers exceptional shock absorption, tensile endurance, and dimensional stability under severe mechanical and operational stresses. The twin elbow configuration, standardized under ISO/EN E2, features three female ports equipped with precision-cut parallel internal jointing threads (Rp according to EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1), creating a smooth swept contour that significantly reduces localized pressure drops and turbulence relative to standard square-profile tee connections. Long-term corrosion protection is achieved through a thorough hot-dip galvanisation process that generates an adherent iron-zinc alloy layer with a minimum mass exceeding 500 g/m² (corresponding to an average zinc thickness of 70 µm), utilizing ultra-pure zinc fully compliant with hygienic drinking water standards pursuant to DIN 50930-6. Operating performance is engineered for aggressive temperature and pressure parameters, handling a maximum permissible working pressure of 25 bar between -20 degrees Celsius and 120 degrees Celsius, and accommodating pressures up to 20 bar at temperatures up to 300 degrees Celsius via linearly interpolated values. Each individual fitting is factory-tested for leak tightness, making it ideally suited for drinking water lines, heating installations, industrial plant networks, chilled water, compressed air, and gaseous fuel transfer. Designed with defined z-dimension laying lengths, the fitting seamlessly supports accurate pipe prefabrication, accelerated installation sequences, and robust metal-to-metal sealing flank compression.
