The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard Type 582 pressure reducing valve regulates and stabilizes downstream pipeline pressure to a preset value across high-purity and aggressive chemical process installations. Operating as a direct-acting diaphragm regulator, the valve automatically reduces higher fluctuating inlet pressure to a constant, lower working pressure regardless of upstream pressure variations or fluctuating system flow demands. Manufactured from unpigmented polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), the wetted flow path combines high chemical resistance with an advanced PTFE/EPDM dual diaphragm and durable FKM sealing O-rings, isolating internal mechanical actuation components from the process media. The standard adjustable setpoint range covers 0.5 to 9.0 bar, with a low-pressure 0.3 to 3.0 bar execution available on request, while integrated tapping provisions accommodate optional pressure gauge retrofits for direct downstream pressure monitoring. Designed with metric butt fusion spigots across dimensions d20 to d63 mm, the valve enables seamless welded integration into SYGEF piping networks using conventional butt fusion, IR Plus infrared fusion, or bead-and-crevice-free BCF Plus jointing technologies. Integrated stainless steel threaded inserts in the base provide rigid structural anchoring without transferring installation stresses to the thermoplastic pipe body. Operating within a service temperature window from -20 degrees to +140 degrees Celsius with a nominal pressure rating of 10 bar, Type 582 delivers precise hydraulic stabilization across chemical distribution systems, microelectronics processes, deionized water loops, and pharmaceutical purified water infrastructure requiring exceptional media purity and reliable long-term pressure control.
