The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus pressure tapping valve duobloc kit PE100 is an advanced electrofusion saddle engineered for performing live under-pressure tapping on municipal and industrial distribution networks without service interruption. Rated for operating pressures up to 16 bar for water distribution and 10 bar for natural gas applications, this SDR11 tapping valve provides utility contractors and pipeline engineers with a fully integrated, leakage-free branching solution. Designed for main pipe diameters ranging from d63 mm to d250 mm with outlet diameters of d32 mm, d40 mm, d50 mm, and d63 mm, the system ensures seamless integration into modern PE100 and PE80 utility infrastructure.

The assembly incorporates an internal stainless steel drill cutter with top and bottom travel stops, a PE100 encapsulated valve shut-off mechanism, and a factory pre-mounted lower saddle body that simplifies on-site positioning. A distinguishing design feature is the 360 degrees rotatable outlet spigot, which provides complete orientation flexibility during service line alignment, significantly reducing pipe stress and installation time in confined trench conditions. Each unit is supplied as a complete installation kit including the corresponding ELGEF Plus electrofusion coupler or spigot reducer for direct connection to the secondary branch.

Electrofusion jointing is performed using standard 4 mm connector pins, supported by individual barcode labels for automated welding control and limited-path fusion indicators that provide visual confirmation of completed heating cycles. Valve actuation is handled via an SLW14 drive spindle, requiring 13 turns for full opening/closing on d32 outlets and 29 turns on d40 to d63 dimensions. The fitting is compatible with main pipe wall thicknesses spanning SDR 9 through SDR 26 depending on the nominal diameter.

Manufactured from high-density polyethylene in accordance with EN 12201-1 and EN 1555-3 quality standards, the ELGEF Plus duobloc valve ensures superior corrosion resistance, high hydraulic efficiency, and long operational life in buried distribution systems.
