PVC-A PN8 Water Pressure Pipe D110-500mm
The LaReTer PVC-A PN8 piping system is an advanced thermoplastic alloy engineered for pressurized water distribution, industrial utilities, and agricultural irrigation networks. Manufactured by Lareter Spa in Italy, this polymer alloy combines the high tensile strength and rigidity of PVC-U with the ductility and impact absorption of chlorinated polyethylene. This compound eliminates the ductile-to-brittle transition risk, preventing rapid crack propagation caused by concentrated external loads or surface scratches. PVC-A is approximately 25 percent lighter than standard polyethylene pipes of equivalent pressure class, optimizing handling and transport efficiency.
Each pipe is produced in a 6-meter standard length with an integrated bell socket featuring the factory-fitted Forsheda Power-Lock sealing system. The joint incorporates an EPDM elastomeric gasket conforming to UNI EN 681-1, reinforced with a yellow polypropylene stiffening ring without metal parts. This design eliminates gasket displacement during spigot insertion and permits angular deflections of up to 3 degrees. The system maintains negative pressure tightness down to -0.5 bar and has a design life exceeding 50 years.
- Material formulation: Unplasticized PVC alloy modified with chlorinated polyethylene
- Nominal working pressure: PN8 (8 bar at 20 degrees Celsius; 5 bar at 40 degrees Celsius per DIN 8061-62)
- Ring stiffness: SN 3 kN/m² according to underground installation standards
- Hydraulic roughness: k = 0.003 mm, providing reduced head loss and lower pumping costs
- Dimensional range: External diameters from 110 mm to 500 mm in 6 m socketed lengths
- Certification and safety: Certified KIWA Quality KIP-105133, UNI EN 1452, and Italian DM 174/2004 for potable water
- Color identification: Blue RAL 5015 for water utility infrastructure
BigWeld supplies LaReTer industrial, irrigation, and utility piping systems across Europe, ensuring certified technical compliance for demanding municipal and industrial engineering projects.
