The BLUCAST ASV Series ductile iron swing check valve delivers automatic backflow prevention in industrial piping networks, utility distribution mains and municipal water infrastructure. Rated for nominal pressures PN10 and PN16, it blocks reverse flow and protects pumps, flow meters and sensitive line components against hydraulic shock and back-siphonage. The compact hydrodynamic body keeps head loss low and allows operating temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius, while the versatile construction permits installation in horizontal runs as well as in vertical upflow orientation, across the DN50 to DN150 size range.

The body is cast in high-integrity ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7, combining mechanical strength with long service life. All internal and external surfaces are fully coated with an electrostatically applied thermosetting powder epoxy layer of minimum 250 µm thickness in RAL 5015 sky blue, giving uniform protection against corrosion, chemical attack from neutral liquids and mechanical abrasion. The swing mechanism and resilient seating provide drop-tight shutoff under reverse pressure, with no retention pockets and unimpeded flow during normal forward operation, so the valve works with minimal maintenance.
