The Georg Fischer Multi/Clamp Midi L=150mm is a single-band stainless steel pipe repair clamp for the fast, permanent repair of localised damage on water, gas and industrial pipelines. The 150 mm band length covers pinholes, corrosion perforations and short cracks, and the clamping ranges offered here span pipe outside diameters from 54 mm to 186 mm, rated PN 16 for water across most sizes and PN 10 on the largest ranges. Each size covers a defined clamping range, so the clamp is selected against the measured outside diameter of the pipe.

All metal parts — band, bridge plates and lugs — are made of AISI 304 (A2) stainless steel, fully passivated and robot-welded in a stainless-steel-only production environment to exclude contact corrosion. This makes the Midi suitable for aboveground installations and for buried utilities in aggressive soils; AISI 316 is available on request. The partial NBR waffle gasket conforms to EN 682 and covers water and gas service from minus 10 degrees Celsius to plus 70 degrees Celsius, while EPDM to EN 681-1 (minus 10 to plus 55 degrees Celsius) can be supplied on request for potable water. The clamp seals ductile iron, grey cast iron, steel, asbestos cement and plastic pipes including PE and PVC-U; installation parameters on plastic pipe should be confirmed with Georg Fischer Waga. Partial gasket coverage and the two-lug design allow quick positioning and torquing in a narrow trench or on an overhead pipe rack, while the bridge plates distribute radial pressure evenly without stress peaks in the pipe wall. Installation is purely mechanical: no hot work, no pipe cutting, no prolonged shutdown.
