The Georg Fischer iJoint repairing coupling without internal pipe stop is engineered for fast, reliable repair and connection of damaged polyethylene (PE 80, PE 100, PEX, PEX-a) piping sections in potable water distribution, civil infrastructure, and industrial utility systems. By eliminating the central pipe stop, this slip-type mechanical compression fitting slides freely over the entire exterior of the pipe, allowing installers to bridge pipe breaches, fractures, or replacement sections with minimal trench excavation and without dismantling the fitting components.

Manufactured from high-grade UV-stabilized polypropylene impact copolymer (PP-B) conforming to ISO 9080 long-term aging criteria, the body exhibits complete resistance to corrosion, incrustation, and aggressive chemical soils. The internal assembly integrates a polyacetal (POM) grip ring and a factory-lubricated food-safe EPDM lip gasket. The biting grip ring provides high pull-out restraint and water hammer resistance without damaging the pipe wall, while the specialized lip gasket profile ensures dependable hydraulic sealing even on ovalized, scratched, or undersized pipes.

The fitting is engineered for maximum operating pressures up to PN16 (16 bar) across an operating temperature range from minus 10 degrees to plus 45 degrees Celsius. It satisfies international drinking water standards including DVGW GW 335-B3, W270, KTW, ACS, KIWA, and SVGW.
