The Blucast FFR ductile iron flanged reducer (double flange taper) is a concentric transition fitting for pressurised water utility and industrial pipelines, offered from DN 200-80 to DN 300-250. It is manufactured in accordance with EN 545 and rated for a continuous working pressure of 16 bar (PN16). The body is cast in spheroidal graphite ductile iron grade EN-GJS-500-7, which delivers higher tensile strength and impact resilience than grey cast iron fittings of comparable wall section.

Internal and external protection is a powder epoxy coating applied electrostatically to a minimum thickness of 250 micrometres in RAL 5015 sky blue, the Blucast factory standard. The coating holds WRAS approval and a PZH hygienic certificate for drinking water treatment and distribution, preventing internal tuberculation and leaving water quality unaffected. The smooth internal bore limits friction losses across the diameter change and avoids retention zones where sediment can settle.

Flange drilling follows EN 1092-2 PN16, so the reducer bolts directly to matching flanged gate valves, pumps, flow meters and ductile iron or steel pipe sections without adaptors. Typical duties include municipal drinking water networks, raw water transmission mains, pump stations, civil infrastructure and industrial utility systems. Every casting passes dimensional and hydrostatic quality control and carries the manufacturer's 7-year quality warranty.
