PVC-KG single socket elbow SN4 (KGB) is an injection-moulded directional fitting engineered for non-pressure buried gravity sewer and surface water drainage networks outside building footprints. Designed to accommodate precise directional changes of 15, 30, 45, 67, or 87 degrees, the elbow features a ring stiffness rating of SN4 (equivalent to SDR41, 4 kN/m²), rendering it structurally compatible with both SN4 and SN2 underground pipework systems. Joint integrity is achieved via a calibrated socket end fitted with an elastomeric EPDM rubber gasket, which seats securely within a contoured retention groove to ensure long-term hydraulic tightness against internal hydrostatic head and external groundwater infiltration, while accommodating ground settlement and linear thermal expansion without joint displacement. The opposing plain spigot end allows direct push-fit insertion into adjacent smooth sockets or pipe barrels, streamlining trench assembly without adhesive bonding or specialized tooling. Fabricated in orange RAL 8023 from unplasticized polyvinyl chloride, the fitting delivers superior chemical resistance against aggressive soils, caustics, mineral salts, and wastewater across a wide pH range of 2 to 12. Hydraulically optimized, the internal bore exhibits an extremely smooth surface finish with a roughness coefficient below 0.01 mm, which significantly mitigates friction loss, prevents sediment accumulation, eliminates encrustation risks, and sustains maximum gravity discharge capacity over a minimum 50-year service lifetime under operational wastewater temperatures up to 60 degrees Celsius.
