The PVC-KG trap for external sewer networks provides an engineered hydraulic odour seal and flow-control barrier designed for buried non-pressure gravity drainage and rainwater transport outside building envelopes. Engineered from durable unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) in safety orange RAL 8023, the external sewer siphon prevents the migration of hazardous sewer gases, foul odours, and pests back into upstream collector lines while facilitating uninterrupted gravitational discharge. The unit features factory-formed socket ends fitted with durable synthetic EPDM elastomeric sealing rings, ensuring a watertight and flexible joint capable of absorbing soil settlements and angular deviations without compromising line integrity. Rated for ring stiffness class SN4 with a minimum mechanical resistance of 4 kN/m2, the fitting is fully certified for use across medium traffic load installations as well as non-trafficked zones, providing full jointing compatibility with both SN4 and SN2 solid-wall and multilayer sewer pipe systems buried between 0.8 m and 6 m. Dimensional coverage spans DN 110, DN 160, and DN 200 main run diameters with wall thicknesses from 3 mm to 4 mm, incorporating integrated top inspection and venting branches of DN1 40 mm (on DN 110) or DN1 63 mm (on DN 160 and DN 200) to enable straightforward rodding, camera access, and maintenance operations. The hydraulically optimised interior geometry exhibits exceptionally low wall roughness below 0.01 mm, drastically lowering flow friction, preventing sediment accumulation, and boosting hydraulic velocity compared to traditional concrete chambers. Thermally stabilised to transport continuous sewage discharges up to 60 degrees Celsius, the inert PVC-U body delivers comprehensive chemical resistance across a broad pH spectrum between 2 and 12, resisting caustic wash waters, mineral salts, and aggressive soil conditions across an estimated design service lifespan of at least 50 years.
