The PVC-KG eccentric reducer SN4 is an injection-moulded unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) gravity sewer fitting engineered for in-line dimensional transitions in buried non-pressure wastewater and storm drainage networks. Designed with an offset eccentric taper, the fitting aligns the bottom inverts of adjoining pipe sections to preserve laminar hydraulic flow, eliminate flow stagnation zones, and prevent the accumulation of settleable solids at pipe sizing changes. Manufactured with an SN4 ring stiffness rating of 4 kN/m2, the reducer is fully compatible with both SN4 and SN2 external sewer systems installed outside building footprints under standard traffic and ground loading conditions. Jointing is achieved via a calibrated push-fit socket integrated with a precision-moulded factory-fitted EPDM elastomeric sealing lip ring and an opposite spigot insertion end, guaranteeing long-term hermetic sealing against inward groundwater infiltration and outward sewage exfiltration even under minor axial soil movement or angular pipe deflection. The rigid PVC-U construction delivers outstanding structural stability, high resistance to abrasion, and broad chemical immunity against aggressive organic soils, mineral salts, and caustic or acidic wastewater spanning a pH range from 2 to 12. Its smooth internal bore minimises hydraulic friction to sustain optimal flow velocities without encrustation over an operational lifespan exceeding 50 years, accommodating continuous service temperatures up to 60 degrees Celsius in medium sizing and 40 degrees Celsius in large diameters with intermittent thermal spikes to 60 degrees Celsius. Finished in orange RAL 8023, this durable reduction fitting provides reliable underground service across residential, municipal, and industrial infrastructure systems.
