TeraPlast PVC-U 87 degrees SN4 solvent-welded saddles are engineered for creating durable lateral branch connections directly onto non-pressure underground gravity sewer and rainwater drainage collector mains. Manufactured from high-grade unplasticised polyvinyl chloride in standard sewer orange RAL 8023, the fitting incorporates a precision-curved saddle body contoured to fit main sewer pipes spanning outside diameters from 200 mm up to 500 mm, combined with an integrated branch socket oriented at an 87-degree angle. The fitting is permanently bonded onto the external wall of the host collector pipe using solvent cement, while the branch outlet features an integrated socket housing a high-durability elastomeric EPDM rubber seal designed to accommodate spigot connections of lateral pipes measuring 160 mm or 200 mm in diameter. With a nominal ring stiffness rating of SN4 (4 kN/m²), this junction component integrates reliably into both SN4 and SN2 gravitational piping networks, exhibiting exceptional mechanical flexibility that transfers static and dynamic soil loads into the surrounding bedding without risk of cracking or permanent structural distortion. The unplasticised PVC construction provides robust chemical resistance against domestic sewage, industrial wastewater, salts, caustics, and aggressive soil conditions across an extensive pH operating range of 2 to 12. Thermally resilient, the fitting operates effectively at continuous fluid temperatures up to 60 degrees C for smaller diameters and 40 degrees C for larger dimensions, accommodating short-term thermal peaks of up to 60 degrees C. Its exceptionally smooth hydraulic bore eliminates encrustation, limits friction losses, and prevents sediment accumulation, ensuring high flow efficiency and a long service life of at least 50 years in buried civil and residential drainage systems.
