The Georg Fischer PROGEF Standard Type 582 pressure reducing valve stabilizes downstream pipeline pressure to a preset value in industrial process systems. Manufactured from ß-PP-H (polypropylene homopolymer) with metric socket fusion union ends for d20–d63 mm (DN15–DN50), the unit operates via differential pressure, balancing an internal spring mechanism against a PTFE/EPDM diaphragm to maintain constant outlet pressure irrespective of inlet fluctuations. Key technical features include a metal-free central housing union nut, integrated stainless steel threaded mounting inserts, EPDM or FKM sealing options, and an adjustable set pressure range of 0.5 to 9.0 bar.
