The Georg Fischer iJoint polypropylene 90 degrees metal transition elbow with brass male thread is engineered for fast, secure, and permanent directional transitions between polyethylene or PEX pipes and threaded metallic equipment. Designed for high-integrity water distribution networks, service connections, and demanding industrial fluid handling, this compression fitting combines the chemical inertness and corrosion resistance of high-grade UV-stabilized polypropylene impact copolymer (PP-B) with the mechanical robustness of a CW617N brass threaded insert.

Featuring an integrated conical ISO 7-1 (DIN EN 10226) male taper thread, this elbow eliminates the need for complex adaptors when connecting PE80, PE100, PEX, and PEX-a pipes directly to metal valves, pumps, manifolds, or building entries. The mechanical push-fit mechanism allows direct pipe insertion without dismantling the fitting or chamfering the pipe end, significantly accelerating installation workflows. The internal food-safe EPDM lip gasket is factory-lubricated and engineered to maintain absolute hydraulic tightness even on ovalized, scratched, or slightly undersized pipes, while the polyacetal (POM) split grip ring ensures exceptional pull-out restraint against hydraulic water hammer and axial tensile loads.

Rated for a continuous maximum operating pressure of 16 bar (PN16) across an operating temperature range of -10 °C to +45 °C, the iJoint male transition elbow offers a certified 50-year service life. The assembly is fully approved for potable water applications under rigorous international standards, including DVGW GW 335-B3, KTW, W270, ACS, KIWA, SVGW, and IIP.
