The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus electrofusion transition coupler provides a high-integrity, permanent connection between PE100 polyethylene piping and stainless steel threaded systems or equipment. Engineered for utility and industrial applications, this transition fitting features an integrated electrofusion socket on one end and a precision female threaded (Rp) stainless steel insert on the other. Operating at nominal pressures up to 16 bar for water applications and 10 bar for combustible gas networks, the fitting delivers an exceptional 100-year design lifetime with zero corrosion risk across subterranean and surface installations.

Manufactured from virgin PE100 resin approved by the PE100+ Association, the fitting incorporates GF Piping Systems' advanced electrofusion technology. The electrofusion socket is equipped with standard 4 mm connector pins, embedded heating coils designed for optimal thermal distribution, and clear limited-path visual fusion indicators that confirm successful joint completion. Integral pipe fixation mechanisms in sizes up to d63 mm streamline installation by maintaining proper pipe alignment and preventing movement during the fusion and cooling cycles, eliminating the need for external clamping tools on small diameters.

The embedded stainless steel threaded component provides high mechanical rigidity and resistance against rotational torque and pulling forces during valve assembly or pipeline maintenance. Designed according to EN 12201-1 and EN 1555-3 standards, this SDR 11 transition adapter complies with rigorous global utility standards including DVGW, SVGW, KIWA, and ACS approvals for potable water and gas networks. It accommodates ground settlements and thermal movements without compromising hydraulic tightness.
