The PE/steel transition fitting provides a permanent, high-integrity connection between polyethylene piping and carbon steel pipeline networks. Manufactured with high-density PE100 polyethylene and high-grade steel, this SDR 11 component is engineered for demanding utility distribution and industrial piping installations where structural reliability, gas tightness, and pressure endurance are critical.

Rated for nominal operating pressures up to 16 bar for water applications and 10 bar for natural gas networks, this transition fitting withstands high mechanical stresses and soil settlement without compromising joint integrity. The polyethylene spigot is fully compatible with both electrofusion couplers and butt fusion welding procedures in accordance with DVS 2207 standards, allowing smooth integration into PE100 infrastructure. The steel transition end enables secure welding or mechanical connection to existing metallic pipelines.

Engineered from virgin PE100 resin (RAL 9005 black), the polyethylene body provides exceptional resistance to UV degradation, soil corrosion, aggressive chemicals, and environmental cracking. Designed for an estimated service life of 100 years in buried utility systems, this transition fitting eliminates the risk of electrochemical corrosion typical of unprotected metal junctions, significantly lowering maintenance requirements and long-term operating costs.
