The Georg Fischer iJoint male metal transition coupling provides an engineered mechanical transition between thermoplastic piping and threaded metal network components. Designed specifically for polyethylene (PE 80, PE 100, PEX, PEX-a) and compatible pressure piping systems, this compression fitting integrates a heavy-duty polypropylene body with a threaded brass insert conforming to ISO 7-1 conical male threading standards. It delivers an immediate, high-integrity mechanical joint suitable for main water distribution extensions, utility connections, and industrial fluid handling networks.

Engineered around a push-fit compression mechanism, the iJoint fitting allows direct pipe insertion without dismantling the fitting or chamfering the pipe ends. The internal sealing arrangement utilizes a factory-lubricated EPDM lip gasket that provides reliable hydraulic sealing even across ovalized, scratched, or dimensionally irregular pipe surfaces. High tensile resistance and pull-out protection are achieved through an integrated polyacetal (POM) split grip ring that firmly locks the pipe under operational pressure variations, surge events, and mechanical loading.

The fitting body is manufactured from UV-stabilized polypropylene impact copolymer (PP-B) ensuring robust resistance to UV degradation, soil chemical exposure, and mechanical impact. Rated for continuous service at maximum operating pressure of 16 bar (PN16) across an operating temperature range of -10 degrees to +45 degrees Celsius, the system complies with international potable water hygiene certifications including DVGW, ACS, KIWA, and SVGW. The non-corrosive thermoplastic body and corrosion-resistant brass threaded connection ensure long-term, maintenance-free service life in direct burial and above-ground installations.
