The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus PE100 electrofusion transition coupler provides a high-integrity connection between high-density polyethylene (PEHD) pipe networks and metallic piping components via a precision-machined brass female thread (Rp). Engineered specifically for municipal water distribution, natural gas networks, and industrial utility installations, this transition fitting eliminates the risk of joint failure across heterogeneous piping materials. Manufactured from virgin PE100 resin and corrosion-resistant brass, it operates reliably under continuous service pressures of up to 16 bar for water applications and 10 bar for combustible gas transport.

The electrofusion socket incorporates premium Georg Fischer heating coil technology with protected resistance wire for optimal heat transfer into the pipe wall during the fusion cycle. Standard 4 mm connector pins ensure compatibility with standard electrofusion welding units, while dedicated limited-path fusion indicators provide clear, tactile, and visual verification of completed jointing. The integrated pipe fixation mechanism secures the inserted PE pipe in place during alignment and welding, preventing misalignment and eliminating the necessity for external clamping devices in compact trench conditions.

Compliant with EN 12201-3, EN 1555-3, and EN ISO 15494 standards, each fitting features complete Track & Trace traceability via standard fusion barcodes. The threaded brass insert is permanently embedded and sealed against rotation and axial forces, ensuring pressure-tight mechanical coupling even under significant thermal cycling and operational vibration. This fitting is ideally suited for transitions to threaded isolation valves, water meters, pressure instrumentation, and mechanical manifolds in both buried and exposed utility infrastructure.
