The Georg Fischer malleable iron elbow 45 degrees type 120 galvanised provides a dependable, high-integrity directional change for pressurized piping systems transporting liquids, gases, compressed air, and potable water. Engineered in accordance with EN 10242 and ISO 49 under Design Symbol A, the fitting incorporates precision-machined female Rp parallel jointing threads conforming to EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1 on both connection ports. Manufactured from decarburised annealed white malleable cast iron EN-GJMW-400-5, the casting exhibits structural compactness, ductility, and high resistance against cyclic mechanical stresses, system vibration, and thermal expansion forces. The surface is thoroughly protected by a uniform, high-purity hot-dip galvanised coating that delivers long-term corrosion resistance and satisfies hygiene requirements for drinking water distribution. Joint sealing functions through thread metallic compression combined with appropriate thread jointing media, maintaining pressure tightness across a wide working temperature envelope from minus 20 degrees Celsius up to 120 degrees Celsius at 25 bar, as well as up to 20 bar at 300 degrees Celsius. With angular alignment maintained within an angle tolerance of 0.5 degrees and calibrated against standardized z-dimension geometry, the equal 45-degree fitting facilitates exact pipe prefabrication, reliable assembly, and straightforward integration across industrial utilities, building services, cooling installations, and FM-certified fire extinguishing networks.
