Manufactured from high-grade whiteheart malleable cast iron grade EN-GJMW-400-5 according to EN 10242 and ISO 49 Design Symbol A, the fitting exhibits high mechanical tensile strength and superior ductility. The extended sweep radius facilitates smooth fluid dynamics, significantly decreasing flow resistance, turbulence, and system pressure drops when compared to compact 90-degree elbows. External threads conform to EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1 (taper thread R with a 1:16 taper ratio), engineered to establish an impenetrable metallic compression seal within mating Rp parallel internal threads when combined with a suitable thread sealant. A protective hot-dip galvanised layer, applied via specialized thermal zinc processing with continuous bath analysis, provides long-term corrosion barrier protection, full chemical neutrality, and complete hygiene compatibility for potable water distributions according to DIN 50930-6. Operating parameters accommodate fluid pressures up to 25 bar across temperatures from -20 degrees Celsius to 120 degrees Celsius, retaining safe mechanical pressure containment up to 20 bar at elevated service limits of 300 degrees Celsius. The symmetrical male-threaded configuration enables direct, compact integration between threaded female fittings or equipment housings without supplementary nipples, ensuring dimensional accuracy, exact alignment tolerances within 0.5 degrees, and enduring joint stability across compressed air, gas, hydronic heating, cooling, and utility distribution lines.
