The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus PE100 spigot saddle with integrated cutter is a high-performance electrofusion fitting engineered for branching and under-pressure tapping on polyethylene utility pipelines. Designed for demanding municipal and industrial distribution networks, this tapping saddle delivers full nominal pressure resistance rated at 16 bar for potable water and 10 bar for natural gas distribution. Supplied complete with a lower clamping saddle part, the assembly ensures precise alignment and optimal contact pressure across main pipe diameters ranging from d63 mm up to d400 mm with branch outlet spigots in d32 mm and d63 mm.

Manufactured from premium virgin PE100 resin approved by the PE100+ Association, the fitting incorporates an internal cutter mechanism that allows clean, swarf-retaining penetration of the main pipe wall without requiring auxiliary drilling machinery. The electrofusion interface features standard 4 mm connector pins and integrated limited-path fusion indicators, enabling clear visual verification of thermal joint completion. Built-in barcode labels provide full digital traceability through standard Track and Trace logging systems. Note that main pipe sizes d355 mm and d400 mm are engineered for pipe wall thicknesses up to SDR17.

Certified in accordance with EN 12201-3 for water infrastructure and EN 1555-3 for combustible gas networks, this saddle holds extensive international quality approvals including DVGW, KIWA, ACS for potable water contact, and FM Approvals Class 1613 for underground fire protection mains. Its robust design eliminates external leakage risks, resists environmental stress cracking, and guarantees a maintenance-free operational design life exceeding 100 years in buried pipeline installations.
