The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus 90 degrees elbow PE100 SDR17 (long version) is a high-integrity spigot fitting designed for directional changes in utility piping systems. Engineered from top-grade PE100 virgin polyethylene resin certified by the PE100+ Association, this injection-moulded fitting provides robust, leak-free performance for municipal and industrial potable water networks operating at pressures up to 10 bar (PN10) and natural gas distribution lines up to 5 bar (PN5).

Designed with an elongated spigot geometry (L dimension ranging from 81 mm up to 150 mm), this 90-degree elbow offers exceptional joining flexibility. The extended spigot length accommodates both electrofusion couplers and butt fusion welding equipment, ensuring sufficient clearance for alignment clamps and scraping tools. The long spigot ends provide optimal heat distribution and weld zone stabilization during the fusion cycle, minimizing installation stresses and maximizing joint security.

The ELGEF Plus PE100 SDR17 range covers outer diameters from d90 mm to d315 mm (nominal diameters DN80 to DN300), with wall thicknesses (e) ranging between 5.4 mm and 18.7 mm, and center-to-end z dimensions from 150 mm to 370 mm. The material exhibits outstanding mechanical properties, including a tensile elastic modulus of 900 N/mm², a yield stress of 25 N/mm², and a Charpy impact resistance of 83 kJ/m² at 23°C, providing superior resistance to rapid crack propagation and environmental stress cracking.

Fully compliant with European standards EN 12201 for water networks and EN 1555 for combustible gas systems, this fitting holds recognized approvals from DVGW, KIWA, and ÖVGW. Joining procedures must follow DVS 2207 welding guidelines, incorporating standard pipe preparation steps such as surface oxidation scraping and alignment clamping.
