The Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) Type 562 ABS check valve with butt fusion spigots provides non-return flow control in industrial cooling circuits, chilled water distribution, water treatment plants and utility piping networks. Its extended spigot ends weld directly into metric ABS lines from d20 mm (DN15) to d110 mm (DN100), rated PN10 (10 bar at 20 degrees Celsius). Butt fusion creates a homogeneous joint in the same material as the pipe and leaves the bore free of obstruction. Inside the valve, a double-guided, flow-optimised closing cone keeps pressure drop and turbulence low. A 1.4310 stainless steel spring applies continuous closing force, giving instant non-slam closure and leak-tight shut-off regardless of installation orientation, in horizontal runs and vertical risers alike, with no hydrostatic head required. High flow velocities are handled without flutter or mechanical vibration, protecting upstream pumps, filtration stages and measuring instruments from reverse pressure surges.

The body is high-grade acrylonitrile butadiene styrene in RAL 7001 gravel grey, with high impact resistance down to sub-zero temperatures, low thermal conductivity and chemical resistance to industrial water, brine and secondary coolants, which is why ABS is specified for chilled water and cooling duty in process and marine installations. EPDM elastomer seals retain dimensional stability and sealing integrity under continuous cyclic operation. Face-to-face length matches the Georg Fischer Type 546 ball valve, so system layout, pipe support spacing and module interchange during maintenance stay uniform.
