The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus electrofusion spigot saddle (PE100, SDR11) is an engineered branch fitting designed for creating high-integrity, fully pressure-rated lateral take-offs on polyethylene piping systems. Engineered specifically for main pipe diameters ranging from d63 mm to d400 mm with outlet spigots in d32 mm and d63 mm, this electrofusion saddle is rated for operating pressures up to 16 bar on water systems and 10 bar on natural gas distribution networks. Manufactured from 100% virgin compounded PE100 resin in RAL 9005 black, it delivers exceptional resistance to crack propagation, chemical exposure, and aggressive environmental conditions, providing a minimum operational service life of 50 to 100 years in utility networks.

Every ELGEF Plus spigot saddle features integrated dynamic 4 mm terminal pin connectors compatible with standard electrofusion welding units. The embedded heating coils are engineered to ensure optimal heat distribution across the fusion zone, adhering strictly to DVS 2207 welding guidelines. Visual limited-path fusion indicators pop out during the electrofusion cycle, offering immediate physical verification that welding energy has been correctly transferred. Depending on the main pipe nominal diameter, the saddle accommodates pipe wall thicknesses across SDR 9 through SDR 33 series. The spigot outlet length allows seamless subsequent jointing via standard electrofusion couplers or butt fusion equipment, providing maximum installer flexibility on site.
