The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus electrofusion coupler in PE100 SDR26 (PN6) is an advanced electrofusion fitting engineered specifically for large-diameter polyethylene utility water distribution and civil infrastructure pipelines. Designed to cover nominal external diameters from d710 mm up to d1200 mm, this coupler provides a robust, fully homogeneous joint with an estimated design service life of up to 100 years. Manufactured from fully compounded 100% virgin PE100 resin approved by the PE100+ Association, the ELGEF Plus SDR26 coupler exhibits exceptional structural integrity, resistance to slow crack growth (SCG), and high chemical resistance against environmental degradation. The SDR26 dimensional profile is pressure-rated for 6 bar water service and is engineered for versatile compatibility, enabling reliable electrofusion joining with PE pipes ranging from SDR9 through SDR26. This allows site engineers and civil contractors to connect various pipe wall thicknesses with full confidence in joint reliability.

Equipped with standardized 4 mm electrical pin connectors, the fitting connects directly with standard electrofusion control boxes and automated welding units. The internal embedded heating elements provide uniform heat transfer across the entire fusion zone, guaranteeing void-free polymer fusion and long-term leak tightness across extensive utility networks.

The coupler complies fully with EN 12201 water supply standards and carries rigorous European drinking water and gas utility approvals, including DVGW, KIWA, ÖVGW, and SVGW certifications.
