The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 sliding coupler kit is engineered for the fast and stress-free integration of pre-assembled piping spools, process valves, and modular equipment into pre-insulated secondary refrigeration and chilled water networks. Designed as a comprehensive factory-insulated connection system, the assembly package includes two PE100 SDR11 electrofusion couplers, a central PE100 core pipe section, and four robust insulation half shells. The structural build combines an SDR11 metric carrier pipe made of high-density polyethylene PE100, a high-efficiency closed-cell GF HE foam core, and an impact-resistant, UV-stabilized black outer protection jacket. Integrated elastomeric sealing lips create a 100% moisture-proof and vapor-tight seal against atmospheric humidity without requiring external primers, adhesives, silicone, or shrink sleeves, systematically preventing ice formation and pipe wall condensation. During installation, the sliding configuration allows installers to bridge tie-in gaps smoothly, compensating for dimensional tolerances between fixed sections without imparting mechanical stresses to the pipeline. Electrofusion welding utilizes embedded resistance wires operated via standard fusion machines, while built-in weld indicators provide immediate visual and tactile confirmation of a flawless fusion cycle. Operating across a nominal pressure class of 16 bar (PN16) and a wide medium temperature range between -50 degrees C and +60 degrees C, this factory pre-insulated coupler kit guarantees superior thermal insulation with an exceptionally low thermal conductivity value.
