Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0 sliding coupler kit provides a comprehensive factory pre-insulated electrofusion solution designed for repair work, system modifications, and effortless tie-in connections in chilled water and industrial refrigeration networks. Engineered to handle operating media temperatures ranging from 0 degrees C to +60 degrees C at a nominal pressure rating of 16 bar (SDR11), the system completely eradicates condensation and external corrosion across process cooling, HVAC, and data center applications. The complete kit incorporates a precision PE100 SDR11 carrier pipe section, two pre-insulated electrofusion couplers with integrated heating elements, and four interlocking insulation half shells engineered to encapsulate the joint. Rapid and repeatable jointing is achieved through automated electrofusion control using readable barcode data, while built-in visual and haptic fusion indicators verify adequate melt pressure during the welding sequence. Moisture and vapor ingress are permanently prevented by factory-integrated sealing lips that eliminate the need for mastics, adhesive silicones, or thermal shrink sleeves during assembly. Thermal insulation is ensured by closed-cell, halogen-free GF HE rigid foam with an exceptional thermal conductivity of λ ≤ 0.022 W/mK and a density equal to or exceeding 70 kg/m³, drastically curbing system heat gain and reducing overall chilling plant operational costs. Protected by a tough, UV-resistant black polyethylene outer jacket, this sliding coupler kit guarantees maximum mechanical robustness and 24/7 maintenance-free reliability over an operational design service life of at least 25 years under EN ISO 15494 specifications.
