The Type 127 from Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) is an electrically actuated ball valve that pairs the proven Type 546 body with a compact EA15 actuator, delivering automated shut-off and flow isolation in industrial fluid distribution systems. The assembly is specified for chemical dosing lines, water treatment plants and process automation installations, where remote on/off control replaces manual intervention. The valve body is PVC-U, rated for an operating pressure of 10 Bar at 20 degrees Celsius, with high resistance to aggressive acids, alkalis and saline solutions. The EA15 actuator runs on a universal supply of 100 to 230 V at 50 to 60 Hz and is factory set to a 90 degrees travel angle for precise open and close operation. An integrated heating element prevents internal condensation under fluctuating conditions, supporting electrical service life across an ambient range of minus 25 to 70 degrees Celsius.

Integrated electrical position feedback for the open and closed states is included as standard, so the assembly ties directly into plant supervisory control and data acquisition systems. The valve base carries stainless steel threaded inserts that provide stable anchoring on mounting brackets or pipe supports without transferring mechanical stress to the thermoplastic piping.

Connection is by solvent cement socket ends in outside diameters from 16 mm to 63 mm, jointed with compatible Tangit cement systems. Beyond the standard on/off execution, the Type 127 platform accepts optional accessories such as a fail-safe return unit that drives the valve to a defined position on loss of supply, reducing maintenance overhead in automated process lines.
