The Georg Fischer Type 039 electric wafer butterfly valve is an actuated quarter-turn assembly for flow control in large-diameter industrial piping. It covers nominal sizes from DN350 to DN1200 at a maximum working pressure of PN4 (4 bar) and performs both isolation and throttling duty. Actuation is by an Auma Type SA-07 electric actuator supplied from a 3x400V 50 Hz network, delivering dependable operating torque under continuous industrial cycling.

The wafer pattern body mounts in sandwich fashion between pipeline flanges conforming to EN 1092 PN10, which keeps the installed length short and simplifies retrofits in water treatment plants, industrial process cooling circuits and utility networks. The body is cast in ductile iron ASTM A 395 with a protective epoxy coating that resists external mechanical stress and atmospheric degradation, while the uncoated DIN 1.4408 stainless steel disc adds rigidity and chemical resistance across a wide range of process fluids.

Bi-directional drop-tight shutoff is achieved by a heavy-duty EPDM elastomer liner that seals the disc edge and isolates the iron body from the conveyed fluid. Drive torque is transmitted through a two-piece DIN 1.4021 stainless steel shaft with a precision keyway profile that eliminates mechanical play during rotation. Face-to-face dimensions comply with EN 558 line 20 and ISO 5752 for direct interchangeability within flanged industrial lines.
