The Type 038 Lug-style metal butterfly valve is engineered for automated flow control, shut-off, and end-of-line isolation in commercial, utility, and industrial piping installations. Featuring an integrated EA electric actuator configured for 100–230 V (50–60 Hz) operation, the unit mounts directly via a standardized DIN EN ISO 5211 interface. The threaded lug body design enables secure bolting between mating flanges and permits unilateral pipeline maintenance or terminal service without requiring upstream or downstream depressurization.

Constructed for demanding operating environments, the valve body is manufactured from GGG40 ductile cast iron (EN-JIS 1020) protected by a durable Rilsan® polymer coating for elevated corrosion resistance and atmospheric durability. Media contact is handled by an uncoated 1.4408 stainless steel disc paired with a robust one-piece square drive stem made from high-strength 1.4021 stainless steel. Sealing options include high-performance elastomer liners in EPDM, drinking-water-certified EPDM DVGW, chemically resistant FKM, or oil-resistant NBR, ensuring broad chemical and thermal compatibility across clean water, wastewater, cooling circuits, and industrial process fluids.

Dimensional geometry strictly conforms to EN 558 series 20 face-to-face standards, allowing straightforward interchangeability and installation between PN6, PN10, and ANSI class 125/150 counter-flanges across nominal diameters from DN50 up to DN300 (outer pipe diameters d63 mm to d315 mm). Nominal operating pressures are rated at 10 bar for sizes DN50 through DN200, 6 bar for DN250, and 4 bar for DN300. The electric actuator assembly provides reliable quarter-turn operation and can be equipped with optional fail-safe battery return units to ensure predetermined emergency positioning upon power loss.
