Georg Fischer galvanised malleable cast iron crossover fittings (Figure 85) are precision-engineered piping components designed to route a fluid-conveying conduit over an intersecting pipeline in compact installations without requiring multi-fitting offset assemblies. Manufactured from premium decarburised whiteheart malleable iron conforming to EN-GJMW-400-5 and Design Symbol A, the fitting integrates parallel internal jointing threads (Rp) machined strictly to EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1 standards for secure, metallic taper-to-parallel thread sealing when combined with appropriate jointing media. The contoured arch geometry provides dedicated clearance to bypass perpendicular pipe runs while preserving coaxial alignment across the primary line, significantly reducing joint complexity, hydraulic flow disruption, and assembly footprint within tight spatial envelopes such as boiler rooms, riser shafts, and manifold headers. A heavy-duty hot-dip galvanised coating applied with high-purity zinc forms a robust, multi-layered iron-zinc alloy bond that provides durable barrier and sacrificial cathodic corrosion protection against aggressive atmospheric moisture and aqueous media. Capable of handling operating pressures up to 25 bar and temperature ranges from -20 degrees Celsius up to 300 degrees Celsius, the crossover delivers mechanical strength, crack resistance, and dimensional repeatability for drinking water distribution, hydronic heating systems, cooling circuits, compressed air installations, and non-corrosive industrial gas loops.
