The PE100/brass transition adapter with union end (loose nut) is an engineered hybrid fitting designed to bridge high-density polyethylene (PEHD) pipework with threaded metallic components, valves, and water meters in pressurized fluid networks. Rated for 16 bar operating pressure in water applications (SDR 11), this transition fitting provides a mechanically robust, tension-resistant, and completely leak-tight connection between thermoplastic pipelines and brass or bronze equipment.

Manufactured from fully compounded virgin PE100 polyethylene resin (RAL 9005 black) and corrosion-resistant brass, the fitting features a smooth spigot fusion end combined with a threaded brass union connection. The integrated loose nut and flat elastomeric gasket allow installers to achieve a reliable face seal without imparting rotational torque or torsional stress onto the polyethylene pipe during tightening. This detachable union design significantly simplifies maintenance, component replacement, and system reconfiguration in utility distribution networks and industrial process plants.

The spigot end of the adapter is fully compatible with Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus electrofusion couplers, reducers, and tapping saddles, as well as conventional butt fusion welding procedures adhering to DVS 2207. Engineered to meet EN 12201-1 requirements for potable water distribution, irrigation infrastructure, and cooling circuits, the adapter offers excellent resistance to chemical corrosion, soil settlement, and hydraulic pressure surges.
