Actuation is driven by a double-acting pneumatic actuator (PPA DA) enclosed in a corrosion-resistant, glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) housing, complete with an integrated manual override, a mechanical visual position indicator, and a standard NAMUR control interface compliant with VDI/VDE 3845. Engineered from high-grade polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), the valve body features low-friction PTFE ball seating, chemical-resistant FKM elastomeric seals, and integrated stainless steel threaded inserts for secure mechanical mounting and support. The valve incorporates metric socket fusion spigots according to ISO standards across dimensions d16 to d63 (DN10 to DN50), ensuring seamless jointing into high-integrity thermoplastic piping assemblies. Built with full geometric backwards compatibility, the unit matches the z-dimension, valve ends, and union nut specifications of the first-generation Type 546 platform.
