This lever-operated butterfly valve kit provides manual isolation and flow regulation in industrial piping systems, commercial water treatment plants and agricultural irrigation networks. It is supplied as a complete installation assembly: the PVC-U butterfly valve body, loose backing flanges, flange adaptors and high-performance EPDM flange gaskets, rated for pressure duties up to PN16 (16 bar) at 20 degrees Celsius. In aggressive media it is an efficient alternative to metal valves, where corrosion, scaling and electrolytic degradation present operational risks.

Body and disc are manufactured from high-grade unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U), offering chemical resistance to acids, alkalis and saline solutions. The manual hand lever carries an indexed position plate for multi-stage throttling and positive locking in open, intermediate and closed positions. Sealing across the disc is provided by resilient EPDM elastomer seals that maintain tightness over the nominal operating range of 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. The free backing flanges distribute bolt load uniformly over the adaptor collar, protecting it from local stress peaks during flanged make-up.

Designed for metric pipe assemblies from d75 mm to d225 mm, the kit connects by socket solvent cementing in accordance with EN ISO 1452-3. Jointing requires proper surface preparation with a compatible industrial cleaner and a professional PVC-U solvent cement, producing homogeneous solvent-welded joints able to carry the full design pressure of the line. Thermal de-rating must be factored into system design above 20 degrees Celsius, with a maximum permissible operating limit of 45 degrees Celsius for PVC-U flanged components.
