The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard hose adaptor is an engineered polyvinylidene fluoride transition fitting designed for integrating flexible hose lines directly into high-purity piping systems and aggressive chemical processes. Manufactured by Georg Fischer from unpigmented, opaque PVDF, this component provides a secure and reliable transition between rigid pipework manifolds and flexible process tubing, operating under a nominal pressure class of PN16 within an SDR21 geometry. Featuring a metric spigot end engineered for butt fusion, the fitting is fully compatible with both infrared (IR Plus) and bead and crevice-free (BCF Plus) fusion welding machines, establishing a homogenous, high-integrity joint that eliminates dead legs and media stagnation. The opposing connection consists of a parallel hose nozzle profile designed for smooth engagement with flexible hoses and secure clamping, ensuring leak-tight fluid conveyance. With an expansive operating temperature range from -20 degrees Celsius to +140 degrees Celsius, the adaptor demonstrates superior chemical resistance against concentrated acids, halogens, and organic solvents, while withstanding harsh sanitisation procedures including steam sterilisation, hot water flushing, and ozone treatment. The inner surface finish provides a roughness of Ra under 0.5 micrometres, actively mitigating biofilm growth and particle deposition. Certified in accordance with ASME BPE, USP 25 Class VI, and FDA CFR 21 177.2510 criteria, as well as being FM-4910 cleanroom listed, each fitting is permanently embossed with complete manufacturing data to provide full batch traceability.
