The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard metric flange adaptor SDR33 is an engineered polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) fitting developed for robust, detachable jointing in high-purity and aggressive chemical process pipelines. Designed specifically for SDR33 piping systems rated for PN10 operating pressure, the component features a precision-machined butt fusion spigot end that enables seamless, homogeneous integration into distribution lines using infrared (IR Plus) or standard butt welding procedures. At the opposite connection point, the specialized serrated jointing face optimizes contact pressure distribution against profile gaskets or PTFE-enveloped elastomeric seals, ensuring absolute hermetic tightness when compressed by backing flanges. Manufactured from high-grade PVDF fluoropolymer resin, the adaptor provides outstanding chemical inertness against harsh acids, oxidizing media, and corrosive industrial solvents across a broad operating temperature range extending from -20 degrees Celsius up to 140 degrees Celsius. The interior surface finish achieves a low roughness value of Ra 0.5 micrometres or less, actively preventing particle entrapment, scaling, and bacterial biofilm adhesion during continuous fluid transfer. The fitting construction remains exceptionally resilient during demanding sanitisation regimes, reliably withstanding repeated thermal and chemical cycles involving hot water, steam, or ozone treatments.
