The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard Ball Valve Type 546 Pro with PPA DA pneumatic actuator and fixed serrated metric flanges provides high-performance automated flow isolation for aggressive chemicals and ultrapure fluid loops. Engineered with an unpigmented polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) body and serrated fixed flanges, this valve unit offers exceptional resistance against harsh mineral acids, high operating temperatures up to 140 degrees Celsius, and organic solvents. Actuation is delivered by the double-acting (DA) pneumatic actuator manufactured with a robust glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) housing, ensuring corrosion immunity inside demanding industrial environments. The actuator operates with a nominal control air pressure of 5.6 bar supplied via an integrated NAMUR interface compliant with VDI/VDE 3845, achieving fast cycle times of 1 to 2 seconds for a 90-degree rotation. The valve assembly includes a low-friction PTFE ball seat, elastomeric seals, and an integrated optical position indicator that provides immediate visual confirmation of the open or closed state. Integrated stainless steel threaded inserts in the valve base allow direct, strain-free anchoring to support structures without stressing pipework. The modular construction ensures backwards interface compatibility with legacy type 546 components, facilitating straightforward replacement and system upgrades without modifying existing pipe spans.
