Tangit PVC-U solvent cement in a 125 g tube is an industrial-grade adhesive formulated for radial socket fusion jointing of unplasticised polyvinyl chloride piping systems. Rated for operating pressures up to PN16 at 20 degrees Celsius, it produces gap-filling chemical welds across PVC-U pipelines used in industrial process lines, potable water transport, wastewater management, chemical distribution and commercial irrigation.

The jointing mechanism works through solvent dissolution: the mating surfaces of the pipe spigot and the fitting socket are temporarily softened, and once the parts are assembled the polymer chains interlock into a homogeneous chemical weld whose pressure resistance matches that of the pipe. The cement is designed for compatibility with Georg Fischer PVC-U pipes, fittings and valves, and the compact 125 g tube suits assembly work, localised repairs and workshop fabrication on metric sizes up to d63.

Joint integrity depends on systematic surface preparation. Pipe ends must be cut perpendicular to the pipe axis, deburred and chamfered at 15 degrees so that adhesive is not pushed out of the socket during insertion. Both joint surfaces are cleaned and degreased with Tangit Cleaner before the cement is applied in an even, axial layer to pipe and socket. Insert the pipe fully without twisting and hold it firm. Full curing time before pressure testing depends on ambient temperature and pipe diameter.
