This metric 90-degree elbow, manufactured from unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U), is engineered for directional changes in industrial pressure piping. Designed for solvent cement socket jointing, the fitting provides dependable, leak-tight containment at continuous operating pressures up to PN16 (16 bar at 20 °C). Manufactured in compliance with EN ISO 1452-3, it is dimensionally compatible with standard metric pressure pipes from d16 mm to d315 mm, ensuring optimal hydraulic flow with low local head loss.

Supplied across Europe by BigWeld as an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, the elbow is produced from a stabilised PVC-U compound offering high chemical resistance according to ISO/TR 10358, remaining inert against acids, alkalis, salts and treated process water. The smooth internal surface minimises friction loss, lowering pumping energy demand while preventing scaling, encrustation and biofilm formation. The operating temperature range is 0 °C to +60 °C, with standard thermal pressure de-rating applying above 20 °C, and the dark grey finish (RAL 7011) provides reliable durability in industrial installations.

Engineered for chemical processing, water treatment, cooling loops and industrial irrigation, this fitting installs simply and predictably. Cold solvent welding forms a permanent, homogeneous joint matching the tensile strength of the adjacent pipe. Used with compatible cleaners and adhesives such as Tangit PVC-U, the socket geometry delivers a precise interference fit and fast curing, minimising operational downtime.
