The PVC-U metric reducing bush PN16 provides a compact, reliable solution for step-down diameter transitions in industrial thermoplastic piping networks. Engineered for solvent cement jointing, this short pattern injection-moulded fitting enables direct concentric reduction between metric pipe sizes from d20 mm up to d315 mm. Designed for pressurized chemical distribution, water treatment, cooling loops, and industrial installations, it ensures optimal hydraulic flow while minimizing space requirements in manifold assemblies.

Manufactured from unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) in dark grey RAL 7011, the fitting exhibits high mechanical strength and excellent resistance against inorganic acids, alkalis, and saline solutions. With a nominal pressure class of PN16 (16 bar at 20 degrees Celsius), the component ensures dependable long-term integrity. The smooth internal bore prevents scaling and encrustation, keeping pressure drops minimal across a projected service life of 50 years under standard conditions.

Installation is carried out by socket fusion solvent welding. Prior to assembly, pipe spigots must be cut square, deburred, and chamfered, followed by thorough degreasing with a dedicated PVC-U cleaner. Applying compatible solvent cement creates an irreversible, homogenous chemical weld between mating surfaces, producing a completely leak-tight connection resistant to operational pressure surges and working temperatures up to 60 degrees Celsius.
