The Georg Fischer PROGEF Standard Type 369 wafer check valve is an engineered inter-flange non-return valve manufactured from high-grade beta nucleated polypropylene homopolymer (beta-PP-H). Designed specifically for industrial piping installations handling aggressive chemicals, demineralized water, and process effluent, this wafer check valve prevents reverse flow with minimal pressure drop. The valve body is designed for compact face-to-face mounting between standard backing flanges across nominal dimensions ranging from d40 up to d315 (DN32 to DN300), offering a lightweight and space-saving alternative to traditional flanged swing check valves.

At the mechanical core of the PROGEF Type 369 is an internal closing mechanism supported by an integrated V4A (AISI 316 grade) stainless steel spring. This spring-assisted design guarantees prompt and tight shut-off regardless of installation orientation, functioning reliably in both horizontal and vertical process runs. The valve achieves high sealing integrity through precision-moulded elastomeric seals available in chemical-grade EPDM or FKM, ensuring compatibility with oxidizing acids, caustic alkalis, inorganic salts, and varying industrial chemical solutions. Supporting eyelets integrated directly into the outer valve body facilitate precise axial alignment and centering between mating flanges during bolt tightening, preventing installation misalignment and seal deformation.

Operating under nominal pressure classes of PN10 (for sizes DN32 through DN125) and PN6 (for sizes DN150 through DN300) at 20 degrees C, the valve exhibits superior long-term hydrostatic endurance and temperature resistance characteristic of beta-PP-H thermoplastics. The smooth internal bore profile reduces turbulence, lowers opening pressure thresholds, and minimizes head loss across process lines.
