The Georg Fischer PROGEF Standard adaptor socket provides an engineered transition between metric socket fusion polypropylene piping and threaded industrial components or instrumentation. Designed for demanding chemical distribution, industrial water treatment, and effluent process lines, this transition fitting features a metric socket fusion connection on one end and a parallel female pipe thread (Rp) manufactured in accordance with ISO 7-1 on the other. The threaded portion is structurally reinforced with an integrated outer ring made of grade A2 stainless steel, counteracting radial hoop stresses induced during thread engagement and preventing creep or stress cracking under thermal and mechanical cycling.

Manufactured from virgin beta-nucleated polypropylene homopolymer (β-PP-H), the PROGEF adaptor socket exhibits superior long-term hydrostatic strength, uniform crystalline morphology, and enhanced impact resistance compared to standard polypropylene grades. Rated for a nominal operating pressure of PN10 (10 bar) at a reference temperature of 20 degrees C, the fitting complies with the dimensional and physical performance requirements of EN ISO 15494. The material formulation provides outstanding chemical resistance across a broad spectrum of inorganic acids, alkalis, salts, and industrial solvents, maintaining structural integrity across an operating temperature range of 0 to 80 degrees C. The metric socket end is precision-machined for socket fusion joining, creating a homogenous, leak-tight welded joint with compatible SDR 11 PP-H pipework.
