The Georg Fischer PROGEF Standard tank adaptor forms a leak-tight bulkhead transition between a storage vessel and an industrial piping network. The body is moulded in beta-PP-H (isotactic polypropylene homopolymer), rated PN10 in SDR 11, and is supplied in metric sizes d20 to d63 with a metric socket fusion union end and an EPDM flat gasket. Typical duties are chemical storage and dosing tanks, industrial water treatment lines and effluent neutralisation systems.

The threaded bulkhead body passes through the tank wall and is clamped in place, while the elastomeric EPDM flat gasket seals by compression directly against the wall surface, preventing external leakage under the hydrostatic head of a full process vessel. On the pipe side, the integrated union nut allows the downstream circuit to be disconnected and reassembled for cleaning, inspection or process reconfiguration without disturbing the tank seal itself.

Polypropylene homopolymer provides high mechanical rigidity, good impact resistance and long-term hydrostatic strength under continuous internal pressure. In line with EN ISO 15494, the material covers a broad chemical spectrum - acids, alkalis and inorganic salts - at service temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius, and the range is designed for a 25-year operational life with water at 20 degrees Celsius. Socket fusion produces a homogeneous, permanent weld and removes the mechanical clamping points that are usually the weak spot on aggressive chemical lines.
