The Georg Fischer PROGEF Standard PP-H check valve type 561 PN10 is an engineered non-return valve designed for demanding industrial piping systems. Manufactured by GF Piping Systems in compliance with EN ISO 16137, this premium backflow prevention valve is produced from high-grade beta polypropylene homopolymer (PP-H). Operating entirely without a spring mechanism, type 561 utilizes a flow-optimized, double-guided return cone that eliminates turbulence and chatter. This specialized hydrodynamic geometry guarantees vibration-free operation even at high flow velocities, closing automatically under gravity and counterflow to prevent reverse fluid circulation in vertical pipe runs.

The valve achieves dependable, hermetic sealing with a minimum liquid column of 2 meters (equivalent to 0.2 bar backpressure). Built with a true double union design, the type 561 shares identical face-to-face installation lengths with the Georg Fischer type 546 ball valve, allowing seamless integration, easy inline maintenance, and straightforward component replacement without dismantling adjacent pipe spools. High-performance elastomeric seals in either EPDM or FKM provide outstanding resistance against aggressive chemical media, elevated temperatures, and industrial effluents across a wide operating envelope.

Featuring metric socket fusion ends covering diameters from d16 up to d110 mm, this PN10 valve delivers robust joint integrity when welded into industrial piping networks. Designed for an expected service life of up to 25 years with water at 20 degrees Celsius, the valve excels across chemical processing, water and wastewater treatment, cooling systems, and process loops where metallic valves suffer from corrosion. The robust thermoplastic housing and all-plastic internal mechanism ensure high chemical purity and complete immunity to pitting or scaling.
