Wafer check valve standard PVC-U PN16 d75-d200
Data Sheet | Product Range | Instructional Video
The PVC-U standard wafer check valve is engineered for reliable backflow prevention in demanding industrial piping networks where compact installation dimensions and minimal pressure loss are critical. Designed for mounting directly between standard backing flanges without an internal closing spring, the valve utilizes hydrodynamic forces and gravity to seat its internal swing flap. Fabricated from premium unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U), the rigid valve body provides outstanding mechanical integrity and chemical resistance, serving as a dependable non-return mechanism across water treatment facilities, utility networks, and industrial distribution lines.
Rated for a nominal working pressure of up to 16 bar (PN16) at a standard medium temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, this wafer non-return valve covers metric pipe dimensions from d75 mm up to d200 mm (DN65 to DN200). The springless swing disc geometry delivers an exceptionally low opening pressure and minimizes head loss across high-volume lines, permitting efficient fluid transfer during forward flow while reacting immediately to reverse flow conditions to mitigate hydraulic shock. High-grade elastomer sealing gaskets ensure dependable, drop-tight isolation even under low backpressure differentials, protecting upstream pumping infrastructure.
Thanks to the inert characteristics of industrial PVC-U, the valve demonstrates superior resilience against saline solutions, diluted acids, caustic alkalis, and certified drinking water applications. The slim sandwich design fits neatly between metric flange adaptors and loose backing flanges, drastically diminishing the required face-to-face installation space and physical weight compared to traditional full-body check valves. Suitable for water processing, commercial irrigation systems, wastewater treatment plants, and cooling water circuits, the assembly guarantees long service life when installed horizontally or vertically in upward flow configurations up to 45 degrees Celsius.
