The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 transition tee 90 degrees PE/stainless steel provides an engineered, factory pre-insulated branch connection designed to integrate threaded instrumentation, auxiliary piping, and metallic equipment into chilled water and industrial cooling circuits. Manufactured with an inner media pipe of PE100 SDR11 rated for nominal operating pressures up to 16 bar, this electrofusion fitting features an integrated 90-degree takeoff with an internal female thread Rp made of corrosion-resistant 1.4404 (316L) stainless steel. Surrounding the PE100 core and robust metallic transition joint is high-efficiency, closed-cell GF HE polyurethane foam insulation that maintains low thermal conductivity, permanently encased in an impact-resistant and UV-stabilized black outer jacket. The fitting incorporates embedded electrofusion heating wires and specialized elastomeric sealing lips that form an immediate, water-tight and vapour-tight seal directly against the pipe jacket without requiring tape, adhesive mastic, or heat-shrink sleeves. Engineered specifically for secondary refrigeration and process cooling networks operating across a fluid temperature range from -50 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius, this pre-insulated transition tee prevents moisture condensation, eliminates external corrosion risks, and minimizes thermal bridging at branching junctions. By delivering a factory-bonded 3-in-1 component combining media pipe, continuous insulation, and robust outer jacket, the fitting reduces on-site installation labor while ensuring uniform energy efficiency across water and glycol cooling loops.
