The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0 Tee 90 degrees reduced short is an engineered factory pre-insulated fitting designed for secondary chilled water loops, industrial cooling circuits, and process refrigeration systems requiring outstanding thermal energy efficiency and permanent condensation prevention. Manufactured with a high-density PE100 SDR11 carrier pipe rated for PN16 operational pressure across fluid temperatures from 0 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius, this three-in-one piping component integrates carrier pipe, rigid insulation, and protective casing into a single bonded unit. The insulating layer consists of closed-cell, halogen-free GF HE foam offering an exceptional thermal conductivity rating of lambda 0.022 W/mK or lower and a density of at least 70 kg/m3, preventing thermal bridges and drastically cutting refrigeration operating costs. On the straight run, integrated electrofusion sockets with internal heating coils and elastomeric sealing lips deliver a water- and vapor-tight joint directly upon insertion without post-insulation, glue, or heat-shrink sleeves. The 90 degrees branch incorporates an ultra-compact short configuration with a 32 mm outer diameter designed to fit constrained installation spaces, manifolds, and risers connecting main pipe dimensions from d40 mm up to d110 mm. Connection at the branch interface interfaces with standard Type A fittings utilizing an adhesive sealing ring to retain continuous moisture-proof integrity. By eliminating metal corrosion, scale deposition, and external condensation, the fitting ensures smooth hydraulic transfer, rapid electrofusion installation with full barcode parameter recording, and maintenance-free system reliability over a minimum design lifetime of 25 years.
