COOL-FIT 2.0 Weld-in port PE/brass Rp
The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0 weld-in port PE/brass provides a compact, highly reliable interface designed for integrating measurement sensors, pressure instruments, venting units, drainage points, and secondary branch lines directly into pre-insulated piping systems. Manufactured with a high-density PE100 fusion cone and an integrated female threaded insert made of dezincification-resistant, low-lead brass with parallel Rp threading (from 1/2 inch to 1 inch), this engineered component maintains a robust barrier against fluid loss and ambient moisture ingress. Sealing between the metallic insert and the thermoplastic PE100 cone is ensured by an internal EPDM O-ring gasket, while the entire assembly includes custom pre-formed insulation made of closed-cell EPDM foam to maintain continuous thermal protection and prevent surface condensation or corrosion. Engineered specifically for mounting onto COOL-FIT 2.0, COOL-FIT 2.0F, COOL-FIT 4.0, and COOL-FIT 4.0F chilled water pipes across pipe dimensions from d63 mm up to d225 mm, the component is rated for nominal operating pressures up to 16 bar (PN16). Installed via direct socket fusion into the core carrier pipe using dedicated Georg Fischer installation tooling, the weld-in cone can be positioned at any location along the pipe circumference without requiring pipeline cutting or the installation of bulky reducing tees. By eliminating thermal bridging and preserving vapor tightness, this factory-insulated port maintains maximum system energy efficiency across commercial HVAC, secondary refrigeration circuits, and industrial process cooling installations.
