The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0 45° elbow is a factory pre-insulated electrofusion fitting engineered for chilled-water networks, commercial air conditioning, and industrial process cooling systems. Designed as an integrated 3-in-1 piping component, the fitting combines an internal SDR11 PE100 media pipe, a high-efficiency closed-cell polyurethane insulation core, and a robust, impact-resistant black outer jacket that are firmly bonded together. Rated for nominal operating pressures up to 16 bar and fluid temperatures ranging from 0 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius, this metric directional component ensures optimal hydraulic flow and long-term durability without the risk of internal scaling or incrustation. Thermal management is governed by the halogen-free GF HE insulation foam, featuring a low thermal conductivity of lambda 0.022 W/mK at 20 degrees Celsius and a nominal wall thickness of 20 mm, preventing thermal bridge formation and drastically reducing energy losses by an average of 30 percent compared to conventionally insulated metal lines. Installation integrity is provided by integrated electrofusion sockets fitted with embedded heating resistance wires, guided welding codes, and dual-purpose visual and tactile inspection indicators that confirm joint completion.
