The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 90 degrees elbow is an advanced factory pre-insulated PE100 SDR11 electrofusion fitting engineered for chilled water, air conditioning, and industrial refrigeration distribution networks. Manufactured with an internal core pipe in high-density polyethylene rated for working pressures up to 16 bar (PN16), the component facilitates reliable directional changes of 90 degrees while maintaining complete system insulation integrity. The thermal insulation barrier consists of high-efficiency GF HE foam, designed to minimize energy transfer, prevent cold thermal loss, and reliably stop surface condensation. Surrounding the foam core, a robust, impact-resistant black outer jacket protects the assembly from mechanical external stresses and ambient exposure during operation. Connecting directly via embedded electrofusion heating wires, this Type A fitting incorporates an integrated sealing lip that establishes a completely water-tight and vapour-tight seal across the joint. This factory-integrated barrier eliminates the risk of ambient moisture penetration into the insulation layer, maintaining constant thermal performance over the operational life cycle.
